Southern California based drummer proficient in various styles of music. Born in San Jose California, Tyrone was raised on a healthy dose of Bay Area funk, jazz, gospel, contemporary worship, blues, hip hop, r&b, and early rock. Since relocating to Southern California over 14 years ago, Tyrone has taken advantage of LA's diverse musical environment by absorbing everything from indi pop/rock to styles native to Africa and Latin America. Tyrone studied drums/percussion performance at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton California, and also at Patten University in Oakland California. He is most known for his 8 years spent as the drummer for the International touring and recording group, "Christafari". During this time he traveled to over 30 different countries and watched 4 albums reach the #1 spot on the Billboard Reggae Charts.
Although island influenced music has produced consistent flow of work throughout the years, Tyrone is completely at home playing Pop, Rock, Jazz, R&B, Folk, Latin, Country, and Blues. Tyrone is currently both performing and teaching private lessons in and around the Southern California area.
